Why we built Refr

The problem we saw

Allied health clinicians have been underserved and underused in a healthcare system that wasn't built with them in mind. Their referral was often just a piece of paper or a verbal recommendation, so many patients missed out on Medicare benefits they may have been eligible for. Someone needed to build the system that connects the dots. So we did.

Our vision

The digital backbone of healthcare referrals

Imaging, procedure and specialist eReferrals, consulted by a GP or specialist in minutes. Patients get the Medicare benefits they're eligible for, and their journey is tracked, funded and brought back to you.

Supporting, not replacing GPs
Refr doesn't route around the GP. Every patient is consulted by a GP or specialist, so they leave with a properly authorised referral and the GP stays part of their care.
Built for the clinician, from the ground up
Refr started on the clinic floor. The workflow is the one we wanted for our patients: send it in a minute, know it arrived, and see them back in the room.
